Magic Nut Thing!

Today we will be taking a look at the “Magic Nut Thing” as a vision that came to me in a waking dream, well in reality I was driving or something but the “waking dream” I figured would get more views. However as they say necessity is the mother of invention and success has many fathers until they all go to the Maury Povich Show with DNA in hand. However this is one of those things that I did a “self” why didn’t we think of this before! As the neat thing is, it is ambidextrous so nut or bolt doesn’t matter as one model fits all. On top of the fact if you want to glue them in you can but don’t have to and the second (containing the nut) hides the bolt from the first adding not only a nice cosmetic feature but all a safety one too!

CNC (3020 3040 3060) Alignment Collar for Dial Indicators!

As in this episode we will be designing an alignment collar for the CNC to accuracy measure the movements in the X, Y and Z axis. Now this is semi parametric as the X/Y strut is user definable and because I made this a customizer in did want to get all “logic” based as I had issue with the Pegboard application. So I simply bound it by value. However with the code you can configure it as you want!

Pegboard and Holes Utility!

The idea is wanted as utility that could create both so I could import the result into other projects. Also while I have uploaded this to thingiverse, Customizer seems to be having an issue with the double “if” statements in the code logic.

CNC Bit Fan!

Modified Water Bath Design!

As in this episode we will be looking at new water-bath which I designed in Open SCAD for a small CNC machine (a 3040 in this case) to cut and engrave various objects that either require cooling or suppression of particulate such as carbon fiber during the cutting process for safety.
